Dinner Time!

Dippin the chicken.  Nothing more redneck than prepping food on a tailgate in the garage.

Our hero Chris

Caught You..I made a small pizza for the kids

Since I knew they probably wouldn't eat my prosciutto pizza (another of Ree's recipes)

A little dessert.  There's no Budweiser in the recipe, I promise.

The perks of mom baking
We were all snowed/iced in.  So what do neighbors do?  Make french toast for all!  I think this was day 3 or 4 of being trapped, can you tell?

Pizzookie Night!
If I stare at them they will bake faster

St Patrick's Day Fun 2011

John had a party at his school and ate green eggs and ham, and green popcorn.  He came home with face painting and  did NOT want to wash it off lol.

The girls and I went to the Dogtown parade.

It was a beautiful day!  A record high of 82! It had just snowed 5 inches on Monday!

Hmm, dad's tool chest

Notice John in the background mid-air.  A very fun St. Patrick's Day!!  We were dirty, a little sunburnt and worn out - always signs of a good time :)

Cooking Inspiration

Preparing Sunday dinner at 10 in the morning

Mushrooms in Red Wine marinade courtesy of Ree Drummond

This is Ree Drummond, aka "Pioneer Woman".  We went to her book signing the night before and got inspired to cook.  I think Neil liked her a little too much lol.

Cleaning the cars while the mushrooms simmered.

Kate, you missed a spot

Trying to act like he doesn't see me taking his pic
